My group, Plenny, Jenna, Isabella and myself made a short comedy. The overall story was about a boy who was obsessed with hair. He watched a girl at a coffee shop, and fell in love with her hair. The girl was extremely creeped out by the boys obsession so she confronts him and gets a surprise, the surprise scares the girl and she leaves the cafe. The boy moves on to another random girl that passes the cafe. This movie was intended for teenagers or young adults.

This was part of my Google site and it states how difficult our time was with this project. Our struggle for new actors and a new story held us back.

Our group was notified by our main actress that she couldn't participate in our film any longer because she had the play as well as other personal things to deal with. When we were told this we were stressed to find new actors and figure out a new schedule. With this we thought it would be better to make a new script that would be easier to film if we shortened our film. With this our writers, Plenny and Isabella, were stressed to create a whole new script, treatment and pitch. I was stressed with trying to find new actors that could be able to make it on our schedule. I was lucky enough to have Jen Lewis and her boyfriend Matt volunteer to act. We are planning on filming at a cafe on San Mateo Ave.
Our continuity was good, we didn't have wardrobe issues though we did have lighting and time of day issues; which somewhat ruined our film. I think our film would have been much better if the lighting wasn't as bad but that was not under our control because day light savings is uncontrollable.
For my next film I will definitely check equipment, make a pre schedule, check with my actors to make sure they can definitely film, and finalize the script. These details held us back from producing a really good film. Overall though I am upset that we didn't do a very good job it also depends on how much hard work is put in. I feel i definitely could have out more effort into this film, though we did put a lot of hours into it already, I think it could have been better if the whole group dedicated more time. Time management was difficult but for my next film I will focus on managing my time.
Annisa, as a set designer I would expect you to detail the wardrobe you selected for the actors as well as what you provided in terms of set dressings and props but you don't give me any insight at all into what you contributed to the project. Also, your overall analysis is very vague and thin. You should break down the film as objectively as you can, analyzing all the elements of the film using the film language we have practiced in class. Hope you put more time into your next critique.
